I. Why do others misunderstand me?

• 1 Corinthians 12:6 “God works through different people in different ways.”
• 1 Corinthians 2:11 “No one can really know what anyone else is thinking or what he is really like except that person himself. Or His spirit”
• IAM WEIRD: Point is: “We are all weird and We must learn to use our Weird for God

II. USING YOUR WEIRD FOR GOD

• 1. Be aware of what makes you tick (your personality)
  • “A man’s wisdom gives him patience.” Proverbs 19:11
• 2. Train yourself to be okay with personality differences
  • Romans 15:7 “Accept each other just as Christ has accepted you.“
  • Romans 14:13 “Let us stop turning critical eyes on one another. Let us rather be critical of our own conduct and see that we do nothing to make a brother stumble.”
  • Ephesians 4:2 “Generously make allowances for each other because you love each other.”
• 3. Begin to value your personality differences
  • 1 Corinthians 12:27 “All of you together are the one body of Christ and each of you is a separate and necessary part of it.”
  • Romans 12:10 “Have profound respect for each other.”

We don’t all have to be alike, thank goodness, it’s okay to be weird…
