1.Truth: It’s a literal place

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but
cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One
who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Matthew 10:28

Hades or Gehenna

• Matthew 25:4 “They will go away to eternal punishment but the righteous to eternal life.”
• Revelation 14:11 when he says, “The smoke of their torment goes up and they have no rest.”

2.Truth: The Gospel is necessary because of a place called hell.

3.Truth: This place called hell is a place of separation

• “They will be punished with everlasting destruction and…shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might.” 2 Thessalonians 1:9
• “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.”. “All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
• “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life’. Romans 6:23

4. Truth: Thanks to Jesus you don’t have to go to hell

Jude 1:23 “Save others by snatching them from the fire.”

• “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but rather to save the world through him.” John 3:17
