 Developing Trust in any relationship 

  1. The person you’re going to trust must tell you the truth.
  2. The person must be fair, they must do what’s right, just.
  3. The person must be reliable and  dependable if you’re going to develop a relationship of trust

“For the word of the Lord is right and true. He is faithful in all He does”

Psalm 33:4

3 things God can’t do

  1. God cannot do wrong. 
  2. God cannot lie. 
  3. God cannot break a promise

“Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”

Joshua 21:45

“The Lord is faithful to all his promises.”

Psalm 145:13

5 ways to trust God

  1. TRUST HIM TO FORGIVE YOU
    • “If we freely admit that we have sinned, we find him reliable and just.  He forgives us and makes us thoroughly clean from all that is evil.” I John 1:9
  2. TRUST HIM TO GUIDE YOU
    • “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.  Never rely on what you think you know.  Remember the Lord in everything you do, and he will show you the right way.” Proverbs 3:5-6
  3. TRUST GOD TO SETTLE YOUR SCORE
    • “Dear friends, never avenge yourselves.  Leave that to God, for he has said he will repay those who deserve it.” Romans 12:19
  4. TRUST GOD TO REWARD MY GIVING
    • Luke 6:38 “Give and it will be given to you.  For with the same measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
  5. TRUST GOD TO REMEMBER MY SERVICE
    • Heb. 6:10“God is not unfair; He will not forget all that you have done, nor the loving labor which you have shown for his sake in looking after fellow Christians.” “.

One of the marks of a mature Christian, is to trust the faithfulness of God.
